Say it out loud along with whoever is watching with you.

THIS WEEK'S STORY:

Learn it - Live it!

Do you have a puppet? Go get it! Do you like making puppets talk? Pastor Karl loves puppets. A puppeteer makes the puppet talk. You aren't a puppet. When you talk - it's YOU talking, no one is making you talk! You use your own words to say what you want to say! In today's Bible story, God allowed a donkey to talk! But it wasn't just a puppet. God didn't talk through a donkey, he allowed the donkey to think and talk! That's pretty amazing!

READ: Numbers 22:21-34

There are a few things we can learn from this.

1. God knows our heart. God knew what Balaam was thinking and sent the angel to stop him from doing it.

2. God tries to point us in the right direction. He let the donkey see the angel so it would stop. It’s like God stopping your car so you can’t go somewhere He knows something bad will happen.

3. God can use anyone, even a donkey. If God can use a donkey, He can use anyone! Even me!

SO WHAT DO WE LEARN FROM THIS STORY?

HOW DO WE LIVE IT?

Every day we face choices. God gives us opportunities to decide whether we are going to do what is good or what is evil. “Evil” sounds pretty bad – but really it’s just anything that isn’t good, so it’s evil. Make wise choices this week or you might just end up with your dog or cat talking to you! But seriously, don’t push God to have to do something strong to get your attention. It is always better to obey the first time.

SNEAK PEEK TO NEXT WEEK:

You've probably seen the Disney movie The Beauty and the Beast. Well, could it be that maybe they got that idea from the Bible? Who know? But while the Disney story is make-believe, there is a TRUE story in the Bible of a man who became a BEAST because of a curse. Seriously! Come back next week to learn all about it. Or, look for it in your Bible if you can't wait!
