HEY KIDS! WELCOME!

LET'S SHARE JESUS!

GO TELL THE GOOD NEWS!

The last commandment Jesus gave us was to GO and tell others about Him! He said to start where we are - in our own city, then to spread out until the whole world knows! Someday He is coming back again! We need to share the GOOD NEWS with as many people as possible until He returns!

Week Two

Dads, Moms, Kids - use this page together to review or further explore what was learned at church, or if you weren't able to get to church today, then you can learn and live it out at home! After all, the Church is wherever you are! LET'S GO!

When Jesus went back to Heaven, He gave us a job to do:

There is no "Plan B" - we ARE Jesus' plan to spread the Good News!

If you know Jesus as your Friend and Savior, now it is YOUR TURN to help others come to know Him too!

JESUS BRIDGES THE GAP!

REVIEW the "Bridge Illustration" is a classic illustration that shows that sin keeps us from getting to God - but Jesus bridged that gap with the Cross so we could get to God! It's an easy way to explain the Gospel (The Good News) to a friend. You can draw it on a piece of paper as you tell what Jesus did so we can have our sins forgiven and go to heaven!
Practice drawing the bridge illustration so you can explain the Gospel to your friends!

TOBY'S VIDEO BLOG!

Last week Toby was amazed when his friend Luke returned his lost wallet filled with money. Find out what happened this week as Toby's learns more about Luke's relationship with Jesus. as he video blogs.

KNOW IT!

Here's the MAIN POINT we want to learn this week:

SHARE THE GOOD NEWS!

Who can you share Jesus with this week? (or) HOW can YOU share the Good News with this week?

WE NEED TO BE READY TO SHARE THE GOOD NEWS!

What will you do when someone ASKS YOU about how to become a Christian? Are you READY to share the GOOD NEWS? The best thing you can do is PREP before you are asked so you are ready!
HOW CAN YOU BE READY? Let's use the letters of the word P.R.E.P. to PREPARE!
The "P" reminds us to PRAY and ask God to give us opportunities to share our faith. Look up and read Colossians 4:2-4
The "R" reminds us to Ready YOUR STORY of how you became a Christian. This is often called your "testimony." Just like someone in court will testify what they saw or heard or what happened to them, you just explain how you learned about Jesus, how you prayed to accept Him as your Savior and the difference following God has made in your life. No one likes when you say, "YOU NEED JESUS! YOU ARE A SINNER! YOU NEED TO GET SAVED!" But when you say, "I was a sinner, I needed forgiveness, I found out Jesus did for me and I asked Him to forgive me and He did, and now I know I am going to heaven because my sins are forgiven," that is so much better, and people will want what you have!
The "E" reminds us to EQUIP yourself with a tool for however you like to share the GOOD NEWS! It can be drawing the Bridge illustration (that we learned last week), it can be downloading The Gospel Colors booklet, or it can be any tool you like to use that helps you explain the Good News. You might even use the A,B,C's explanation. (Admit, Believe and Choose). There are lots of ways to share the Good News of Jesus, everyone just equips themselves with the tool that they are the most comfortable with.
Finally, the "P" reminds us that we need to practice sharing our faith. Just like with sports or music or even math - anything we want to be good at requires practice. If you want to be good at sharing the Good News about Jesus, you should practice it. You can practice with your friends or family. It might feel silly at first, but when you think about it, is there anything more important to be good at doing? Leading someone to faith in Jesus is one of the most wonderful experiences you can have in life!

MEMORIZE IT!

John 3:16 is the most popular and well known verse in the entire Bible - and for good reason! It is the simplest explanation of the GOOD NEWS! We're working this month to MEMORIZE IT so we can always be ready to share with a friend how they can be SAVED and know Jesus as their Friend and Savior! Have you memorized it yet?
