HEY KIDS! WELCOME!

Hi! I'm Pastor Karl!

O.K. That's me as a boy - but while I'm a bit older, I haven't changed much.  In fact, I'm sometimes called "A Big Kid" and I think that's a compliment. After all, didn't Jesus say that grown ups should become more like children? (He did actually! You can check it out in Matthew 18:3)

Anyways - when I was a kid this fun magician/puppeteer/teaching guy came to my church and spent a week teaching us in the coolest ways about God and the Bible. By the end of the week, not only had I figured out a few of his magic tricks and made them - but I had decided that was what I wanted to do when I grew up! When I told my mom about my future plans, she surprised my by saying, "What's growing up got to do with anything? You can start this week!"

So I did! I was soon putting on magic shows and practicing with puppets and even got some opportunities to teach other kids, first at my own church, and then I started getting invited to other churches to speak. I've basically been doing "kids stuff" and working with kids since I was a kid. By the time I was in college I was getting asked to help grown ups better understand kids and how they like to be taught. I ended up starting one of the very first websites for kids ministry, it's called Kidology.org and it's been going strong for over 25 years! Jeepers! That makes me feel old! I'm a kids pastor at a church in Colorado called Highpoint Church, I'm a professional magician, a writer, speaker, unicycler, juggler, cup stacker, Rubik's Cube solver, Lego Lover, Minecraft Maniac, Fortnite Noob, and basically like anything that kids like. Even Captain Crunch!

Grown ups can read the more boring bio on Kidology.org, but this site/app, all you need to know is that I love God, I love kids, and I love teaching kids about God but making it super fun!

Parents want to know what I believe so I'm not teaching you any wacky stuff, so they can check that out on my "What I Believe Page."

BONUS for visiting this otherwise boring page - My 10x10 Rubik's Cube Solving Video. Whew! It was hard work!

This is part of a collection of Rubik's videos kids pastors can use as countdowns in Kid's Church.
