This weeks Power Up: RIGHTEOUSNESS
READ the Story of Noah and the Ark in Genesis 6-9
It would be hard to find someone who hasn't heard at least the basic story of Noah and the Ark. Usually the focus is on the boat full of animals. While that is pretty cool and awesome for the animals - that's not really the point of the story. Yes, God saved the animals, but why did he flood the earth to begin with? People had rejected him and were doing really bad things. They were misusing the freedom God gave them. All except Noah. He chose to do what was right when everyone around him was doing what was wrong. That's the true test of type of person we are. It's easy to do right when everyone around you is too - but what if you were the only one, could you; would you still do what right even if no one else was? God is watching and eager to reward those who choose to follow and obey Him, especially when we are the only one around choosing righteousness.

One of the most important buttons on your controller is the BUILD button. If you play Minecraft or Fortnight or one of many other games, you probably know the BUILD button well. The BUILD button leaves something behind even after you move on. People can tell you were there
because you built something. You left something behind. There are a lot of people who pass through life but never BUILD anything. They don’t help anyone, they don’t give, they don’t share Jesus, they don’t serve – they get by. Their goal is to just survive or win, but they miss out on the joy of BUILDING and better yet, the rewards of BUILDING.
READ Romans 2:7 He will give eternal life to everyone who has patiently done what is good (right) in the hope of receiving glory, honor, and life that lasts forever.
