Here are a few discussion questions to get started. There are no right or wrong answers. Just share what you think, and then work your way down the page learning together!

• If you could change one thing about your life, what would it be?
• If you could change one thing for someone else, what would that be?
• Who is the most famous or powerful person you have ever met?
• If you were the President for one day, what would you do?
• How would you explain "faith" to someone who had never heard that word before?

This is a miracle that Jesus did long-distance! He wasn't even near the person He did the miracle for! Amazing! He was willing to travel to help, but the man who asked for the miracle understood that Jesus didn't need to be close to do a miracle, He could just "say the word" and it would happen! Watch this fun video where Mike and Ike describe it and then try to duplicate it.

Magic words are pretend, but when Jesus speaks, things really DO happen instantly!
In the very beginning of the Bible, we see the power of God’s words... from His very first command, “Let there be light.” God can just say something and POOF, it happens. His words are THAT powerful. He doesn’t have to wave a magic wand, sprinkle magic dust, or wave His hand over something – He just speaks and it HAPPENS IMMEDIATELY.
Just how POWERFUL is Jesus?
Read: Hebrews 1:3

In Luke 4 there is a story of a man who was possessed by a demon, Jesus commanded the demon to leave and it fled!
You can read what the people said about Jesus after that in Luke 4:36

Some things to think about in this story: Jesus came for Jews, but this was a Roman soldier! Jesus’ power is available to anyone! Jesus offered to come to his home, but this man understood Jesus’ power. There was no need to come to his home. This soldier understood that Jesus could just COMMAND it happen from anywhere. This man was humble and said, “No need to come, just say it and I know it will happen!” Jesus was impressed, and so He did as he had been asked. POOF, the servant was healed at that very moment. (There must have been some follow-up or someone to report back later for us to know this happened.) Then, Jesus bragged on the soldier’s faith.

Think about it: Do we trust Jesus like that? Would Jesus brag about YOUR FAITH? He said,
“Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in Israel with such great faith.” That must have been embarrassing to the Jews standing there, especially the leaders.

Imagine Jesus saying, about YOU:

“Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in YOUR SCHOOL, with such great faith,” or
“Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in YOUR CHURCH, with such great faith,” or
“Truly I tell you, I have not found anyone in YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD, with such great faith.”

Jesus has the POWER to do whatever needs to be done. He can do miracles simply with a COMMAND. Jesus speaks and things happen. We can trust Him with any need we have.
