This is not only the BIGGEST miracle Jesus did, but the MOST IMPORTANT! Yes, Jesus died on the cross for our sins, but, if He stayed dead, that death wouldn't mean much, would it? It's the fact that He ROSE AGAIN that made that death matter! When Jesus rose from the dead it PROVED that He has the POWER OVER DEATH ITSELF! That's how we know that He can raise us up too!

Jesus died in our place so we can live forever! Jesus came to share the love of God, but He also came to die for our sins. Jesus died, but He didn’t stay dead! Jesus rose again three days later! He was seen by hundreds of people before He ascended back up into heaven before many witnesses. At first, they thought He might be a ghost, which is kind of funny, but that’s why He ate some food with them. Ghosts can’t share a meal with you! The disciples had seen Him raise some people from the dead, but the ultimate display of power over death is to raise yourself. If Jesus could raise HIMSELF, He can raise ANYONE. And that includes you and me!

Jesus only had to die once. He’ll never die again. He paid the price for every sin, past, present, and future, for every person, past, present, and future. Now He is in heaven, sitting at the right hand of God the Father. And Jesus will be coming again to take us to His Father in Heaven!

Think about it: The resurrection of Jesus is the single most important event in all of human history! If Jesus didn’t rise again, we have no hope of life after death. If He did, then it’s the best news in the history of earth. The Good News is... HE DID! Which means, you CAN live forever, if you have accepted Jesus as your Savior. Have you?
