WEEK ONE: ZOOMIN' Over Genesis

Parents, as church is re-opening, instead of full length kids church services, Pastor Karl is creating a new video every week that will be used both during the live, in-person service at his church, as well as here on PastorKarl.com for families who are unable to attend in-person, as well as for kids all over the world to enjoy!

Family Discussion Ideas:

  • What is your favorite movie? Do you remember the opening scene?
  • (0r) What is your favorite book? Do you remember what the first chapter was about?
  • What is first book of the Bible?
  • Do you remember the story at the beginning of that book?
  • What other stories do you remember from the Book of Genesis?
  • What did Wilbur's drone zoom in on?
  • What did that object have to do with the story?
  • Was it an apple in the story? No? What was it called?
  • Why do you think God gave them something NOT to do?
  • What are some of the things parents or teachers tell us NOT to do?
  • Why do leaders and authorities make up laws? Is it to spoil our fun?
  • Why is it better to obey even when we don't want to?
  • Do you remember the Bible verse?
  • We've all sinned, but that is why Jesus came. What does the word Gospel mean?
  • Have you asked Jesus to be your Savior so that your sins are all forgiven?
  • Pray and thank God for sending Jesus and for forgiving you for the bad choices you have made.
