Sunday's Video:

Director Gary Crant is interviewing actors for his next Big Bible Blockbuster movie! Who is it this week?
In this Bible Blockbuster lesson, we are learning the about the "The Big Tower." Some silly people thought they could build a tower to heaven! Have you ever build a giant Lego tower? Can you imagine trying to reach the shy? Big cities have some pretty tall buildings. From the ground they tower over you, but if you look out your window in an airplane, they seem pretty tiny. That must be how the Tower of Babel looked to God when he looked down on them. God told them to spread out and fill the earth, but they disobeyed. So God helped them out by mixing their languages so they would spread out and enjoy more of his new world!

BONUS VIDEO THIS WEEK: Enjoy this silly Toybox Tale made by Pastor Karl and his goofball pal Ranger Micah from Highpoint Kids! Instead of building a tower, we should be building our LIVES on the Word of God!

Learn it - Live it!

This weeks Blockbuster Lesson:

The people who thought they could build a tower to “reach heaven” were trying to do something impossible. They probably knew that – but what were they really trying to do? They were trying to “make a name for themselves.” God didn’t really have a problem with the building. He helped the Israelites later to build a great temple. We also have a nice church building. The issue was their pride. They were wanting to bring attention to themselves instead of to God.
READ: I Corinthians 10:31 So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
Our goal is life should not be to bring attention to ourselves, but to bring attention to God. We should be trying to help others get to know God.
READ: Proverbs 27:2 Let someone else praise you, and not your own mouth; an outsider, and not your own lips.
It’s OK to have someone recognize our hard work and achievements and we should always do our best – but we should let others praise us, rather than brag on ourselves.

This week we are learning that our GOD is INVISIBLE – meaning He cannot be seen by the
human eye.

Here is a riddle that stumped University Professors but was solved by a class of Kindergartners:

What is greater than God,
More evil than Satan,
Rich people need it,
Poor people have it,
And if you eat it... you will DIE!

The answer, of course, is NOTHING.

Just for fun, find a box with nothing it in. Go around to your family and tell them you have something in it that is INVISIBLE. Allow them to reach in and feel it. Of course, they will feel nothing, because, there is nothing in the box.

In the same way, God is invisible. You cannot see Him, you cannot touch Him, but unlike your box, which has nothing in it, God is actually there. He is real!

MOVIE PROP: The Camera

Have you ever dressed up just for fun? Maybe at Halloween you wore a fun costume, Or maybe you dress up just to play. Movies use various costumes to show what kind of character they are.  A villain? A superhero? A costume determines what kind of person a character is portraying.
THE POINT: The Bible tells us to “clothe ourselves” with positive traits. Let’s read a passage of the Bible, and when you hear something we should clothe ourselves with, pop out of your chair and say what it is. (Compassion, kindness, Humility, Gentleness, Patience, Forgiveness, Love, Unity)

READ: Colossians 3:12-14
"You are the people of God; he loved you and chose you for his own. So then, you must clothe yourselves with compassion, kindness, humility, gentleness, and patience. Be tolerant with one another and forgive one another whenever any of you has a complaint against someone else. You must forgive one another just as the Lord has forgiven you. And to all these qualities add love, which binds all things together in perfect unity."
