NEW SERIES! GONE FISH'N for Jesus!

THIS WEEK: Jesus Called Us to be Fishers of People!

Parents, whether your kids are attending church, or worshiping at home online - this page is FOR YOU as well as for them! Watch with your kids and then use the discussion questions below to have an intention conversation on the week's lesson. If your kids attend Highpoint Church with Pastor, it's a great review! If not, welcome! And we hope you'll have a great time learning about Jesus!

FIRST: Read the Bible Story in Matthew 4:18-22

This is the story of Jesus calling Peter to become a Fisher of Men!

SECOND: Watch "Noduh the Wise One"

This month, in addition to learning about becoming a Fisher of Men, we're also learning about Spiritual Disciplines. We can't lead others to Jesus if we aren't drawing closer to Jesus ourselves. Kids hear all the time to "read their Bible, pray and go to church," so we'll be learning about some of the lesser known spiritual disciplines this month.

Noduh the Wise One explains MEDITATION

THIRDDiscussion Questions

  • Do you like bubble gum?
  • How is chewing bubble gum like meditation?
  • True or False? Meditation is Emptying the Mind. (False! It is filling the mind with God's truth)
  • What was your favorite part of the video with Noduh the Wise one? Did you learn anything?
  • What do you think it means to be a Fisher of Men (or of People)?
  • Who do you know that needs Jesus?
  • How could you start to "fish" for them?
  • Take a minute and PRAY for someone you know who needs Jesus. That is a great way to start!

Below is our THEME VERSE for the Month, work on memorizing it!

BONUS VIDEO: Below is our THEME SONG for this month, Bullfrogs and Butterfrogs. Listen to it and pay attention to the words. Talk about what is special about bullfrogs and butterflies and how are they both like Christians?  ALSO, below is Matthew 4:19, our theme verse for the month - it's a short one - so try to memorize it!
