Welcome to BIG Bible Words!
During this series, you'll be learning some BIG WORDS from the Bible. Grown-Ups call them "THEOLOGY" words - Theology simply means "Theo" (God) "ology" (the study of) so.... THEO-OLOGY is just the Study of God. During this series you'll learn some BIG WORDS, but you'll also learn there are usually some little words that mean the same thing. As Pastor Karl says, "Grown up are big, so they like Big Words, but there are little words that mean the same thing," and make learning the Big Words easier!
WEEK THREE

Can you UNSCRAMBLE this BIG WORD?
A-C-F-I-I-I-J-N-O-S-T-T-U

Here's a HINT at what it means:

READY for the BIG WORD?

That’s a BIG WORD! “Justification!” (Can you say it?)
It’s a BIG WORD that simply means “Forgiven”
Justification is what happens when God declares us righteous — just as if we had never sinned! When we put our faith in Jesus, He takes our sin away and gives us His righteousness instead. It’s like a judge slamming the gavel and saying, “You’re free to go!” because Jesus already took your punishment.
Justification reminds us that we don’t earn God’s approval by being good — we’re made right with Him because of what Jesus did for us on the cross!

Here are some Bible verses about JUSTIFICATION to look up and talk about:
Romans 3:24 – “...and all are justified freely by His grace through the redemption that came by Christ Jesus.”
Romans 5:1 – “Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.”
Titus 3:7 – “...so that, having been justified by His grace, we might become heirs having the hope of eternal life.”

Justification = Forgiven
Summary: Justification means Jesus made us right with God when we put our faith in Him.
Challenge: Remember, you don’t have to earn God’s love — you already have it through Jesus!
Prayer: “Lord, thank You for making me right with You through Jesus. Help me live with joy knowing I am forgiven and free. Amen.”

The TRUTH about SIN:
THE MAIN POINT:
So now that you know what JUSTIFICATION is... (do you remember?)
What should you DO about it?
What should you DO about it?
1. Have you accepted Jesus as your Savior?
Everybody (that's means me and you) have sinned. And when you do something bad, as you know, there is a CONSEQUENCE! (You probably know that Big Word since Mom and Dad probably use it a lot. But it means you EARN something - and it's God's Punishment. But remember that GOOD NEWS?
John 1:12 - "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
John 1:12 - "Yet to all who did receive him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God."
You can use THIS SIMPLE SONG to ask Jesus into your heart and life to save you from your TRANSGRESSIONS!

2. Tell someone else about JESUS!
If you asked Jesus to be your Savior - TODAY, or a long time ago - now it is YOUR JOB to tell others. They still have TRANSGRESSIONS that need to be forgiven. Start by PRAYING for them, and ask God to give you the courage to invite them to church and even to tell them about Jesus yourself!
Here is our THEME VERSE for this series...
See if you can memorize it!
