WATCH IT!

Here is the FUN video we watched in The Outpost!

Here was the MAIN POINT for this week:

God has a plan for our life. Before we were born he knew what he had in store for us. He also wants us to choose to follow his plan. So He gave us a guide book, a blueprint as it were for our life.

In the Bible is the answer to any question about life we may have - questions on  love, finances, business practices, morality, marriage advice, relationship advice, etc.

However, we do have to learn how to read it, we have to take to study it in its entirety, and know how all the different parts work together. It is the same with blueprints, there is a plan for plumbing, architectural, mechanical, electrical, structural, walls. If you look at set of prints even though the building might be years from building built, we can look at those plans and tell you what color the walls will be when its done. The blueprints already have all those answers. The blueprints help guide each trade person from each trade so that we all end up at he end of the project with the building looking the way it was intended.

God works the same in your life. If we follow His plans and use the Bible to guide our life, we will end up with the life God intended. We also use blueprints to solve conflicts. If two of our trades are having a problem in the building. We use the blueprints to determine who should be doing what to resolve the problem and move on. Likewise, if you are ever wondering if you are doing is right, the Bible will help tell you what is right. An important point to make is, you should only use the Bible to correct your own life. The Bible should not be used as tool compare your life to others and tell them what they are doing wrong. They must choose to follow God.

SOME DISCUSSION QUESTIONS:

Use these questions to discuss the lesson together as a family:
  • If your kids were in The Outpost, ask what they enjoyed the most. What did they learn?
  • How is life like a construction site.
  • Where do we find the plans for our life's construction?
  • What tools can help us build well?
  • Are there other things that can help us?
  • What can go wrong on a construction set? (or in life)
  • What other comparisons can you make to a construction site and real life?

SOME VERSES TO LOOK UP TOGETHER:

Look these verses up and discuss together as a family:
  • Matthew 4:19
  • John 12:26
  • 1 John 2:3
This is our THEME VERSE for the series, work on memorizing it together as a family!
