Here was the MAIN POINT for this week:
Being a Christian has become harder and harder. The world has found new and improved ways of tripping us up. Sometimes the world even manages to trip up entire churches!
It is important that we know the Word of God well enough that we can see these pitfalls before we fall in to them. The Armor of God is one of the ways God protects us.
The Belts of Truth is a lot like a tool belt. It is not used for protection but to carry the tools needed for success. Truth is what we need to succeed!
The full Armor of God can be found in Ephesians 6:11-12.
Knowing and studying Gods Word constantly helps us be ready for the things that world may send our way.
When the secret service is teaching people to recognize counterfeit money, they don’t teach them to all of the things that are wrong. They have them study a REAL dollar so well, that they can quickly see the flaws in a fake. Such is the same with our walk with God. We need to study TRUTH and His plan and guide, the Bible, so well that can recognize the things that are NOT true and that are NOT from His plan.
We need to always be learning and growing so then the bad things come we can defeat them easily. In construction we are constantly improving our safety. We are always advancing what we do to stay safe. As new dangers arise, we implement a new safety procedure.
In life, when the world throws something new at us, we can use the knowledge in the Bible to protect us from it. Just like Fraser found out if you don’t wear the gear it cant protect you. If you don’t study the bible, it cant help you. The most beautiful in the world, is a well used Bible.

- Have you ever gotten hurt because you didn't follow a safety rule?
- What are some safety rules for driving? Why do you think they made those rules?
- Can you think of some safety rules you think SHOULD exist that don't? Why?
- Some people want NO RULES, but would your parents love you if you had no rules? Why?
- Take it a step further, would GOD LOVE YOU if He made no rules for living?
- In your own words, why are God's rules and commands important to learn and follow?
